The South Beach Yacht Club cruise-out was yet another fun filled weekend for our Coyote Point Cruisers. Five boats participated, and a great time was had by all. Cruise Leaders Steve and Jocelyn Swanson, aboard Zingara, led the way with Gary and Lucy aboard Panda Angler, Mark Bettis and Cathy Miskow on Cardinal Rule, and Mark Roper and Linda Martinez on Azure, filled out the deck on Friday. Joe and Carrie Pratt, aboard Ada Helen, showed up Saturday afternoon on their way home from an extended Delta cruise.
Cardinal Rule and Panda Angler Azure
The weekend kicked off Friday afternoon with happy hour aboard Cardinal Rule, hosted by Cathy Miskow.
Great food, drinks and stories set the stage for a wonderful dinner at China Live on Broadway in SF, where Yvette Yong set us up with a big table right in front of the restaurant. The food at this place is like no other, and if you have not been there, you should think about trying it out. A quick Uber ride back to South Beach Harbor and our team was done for the night.
Saturday morning was beautiful and various folks went their separate ways for the day. Gary, Lucy, Mark and Cathy played tourist in SF at the Japan Town street fair, Steve and Jocelyn went sailboat racing, and Mark and Linda got out folding bikes and kayaks and played.
Before long it was happy hour again, and again the crowd gathered aboard Cardinal Rule for cocktails. Afterwards a great dinner at South Beach Yacht Club was followed by sipping Irish Coffees and watching the end of the Giant’s game at Pete’s Tavern (The Giants won in the 10th inning!)
Sunday morning Jocelyn and Steve hosted a wonderful light brunch aboard Zingara, where their son, his wife, and their 18 month old grandson visited as well. A few mimosas and some great bites started the final day in great style.
On Sunday, Cardinal Rule anchored in McCovey Cove, and Mark and Linda kayaked over to join Mark and Cathy for a fun barbeque while enjoying the activity in the Cove and the roar of the crowd. (The Giants won again!).
