Here in California, we’re a bit spoiled by good weather and year-round boating opportunities, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate a “start to the season!” This week brings us both the first Wednesday Night “Rabbit Race” of the season, as well as a weekend full of South Bay Opening Day events.
This Wednesday, show up at the Club at 5:30pm to take your boat out or get a ride for a sunset sail. Our Wednesday Night Races are all over the map in terms of conditions, but it’s a favorite mid-week activity, and we always have a good time.
On Friday, April 15th, join us for the South Bay Opening Day kickoff party! CPYC brings you “South Bay Aloha” with a Hawaiian Feast including Huli Huli Chicken, Teriyaki Pork Ribs and Sesame Cabbage Salad. Dinner is $25 with reservations, or $30 at the door. Make your reservations HERE or through the SBOD event LINK.
On Saturday, join us for the boat parade and meals with our sister clubs in Redwood City. We’re looking forward to having CPYC boats represented in the parade, but if you don’t get a chance to decorate, you can still bring your boat down and hang out with us overnight. Sign up for the Cruise Out HERE.

Don’t forget there’s also a Sunday Brunch down at South Bay Yacht Club in Alviso, which is quite the annual tradition. Apparently there are decades worth of pictures like this:
In all, there are plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy your Club and the boating community this week. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
