Jack Verducci’s Final Commodore’s Report

As I write this I am still the commodore when you read it I shall be your Staff Commodore. The year 2011 was certainly an interesting year for me, it was filled with multiple challenges. When faced with multiple challenges one must prioritize and do the M.I.N. (most important now). I saw my M.I.N. as financial. It is just like damage control at sea. If there is hole in the boat you have the plug it before you worry about the next thing. Same thing concerning CPYC, 2011 was a damage control year. We fixed the hole in our boat, we are no longer sinking. In fact we had another good month in November with a $3,357.92 profit. Thus far for the year up to November 30, 2011 we are in the black by $45,253.00 with $91,000.00 in cash in the bank.

For 2012 there are many issues that need to be address that we simply could not address in 2011. On December 13, 2011, I turned the gavel over to Mark Liddell. It will be up to Mark and his board to continue the process of guiding the club through the many challenges that are ahead of us. I wish Mark and the 2012 Board God’s Speed and I look forward to playing a supporting roll.
