We had a really good turnout for our last Backyard BBQ & Lobster Boil of the year. Fourteen of us had lobster and there were a number of steaks and chicken dinners sold as well. The lobsters that Vice Commodore Yvette gets are on average 1.75 lbs, so nothing scrawny here! As you can see from the picture, we had corn on the cob, roasted potatoes, brown-butter braised green beans and salad to accompany the main course, and melted butter for the lobster. For dessert there were several pies to choose from and also chocolate cookies. Needless to say, no one went home hungry!
This event, and we’ve had three other lobster dinners this year, seems to be one of our most popular dinner events.
