Summer Sailstice Volunteers Please!

A Message From Donna M Duncan

Good Afternoon All,
As I mentioned at the last Delegates Meeting as the co-chair of Public Relations I am doing a booth at Summer Sailstice on June 18th at Oakland Y.C. although the event actually involves both Encinal YC and Oakland YC, the booths are at Oakland YC.

The day will start at 10 am and is suppose to go until 8 pm or until the crowd thins out, which could very well be by cocktail hour, 5 pm

What do I need?
Bodies, I need people to man the booth (really it is a table) for a couple of hours each although, if there are enough bodies you can show up for an hour and then go have fun. The material presented will be the coming events of PICYA, Wheelchair Regatta, Lipton Series, Management Conference and some basic brochures on PICYA and what we do. I am trying to track down the posters that were made a couple of years ago so we have those for decoration and we have a PICYA banner to hang in front of the table. I want this to be a fun event!

If you are planning on attending the Summer Sailstice, tell me what hour you could drop by to do a little vol unteer booth manning and promote PICYA. If you are not planning to attend, why not check out Summer Sailstice (it is a National Event!) and help the organization that supports all Northern CA clubs by relieving another volunteer for an hour?

This is your organization and it runs on volunteers, this is an easy one to get you started. You will receive my thanks and recognition at the next Delegates Meeting in July at Bridge Marina YC. Thank you for your time, Let me hear from you! Have a great weekend!
